Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 6 tbsp salted butter, frozen
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 425°F.
- Mix together flour and baking powder in large bowl.
- Use cheese grater to grate frozen butter into the bowl with the flour.
- Mix butter and flour together a bit.
- In a small bowl, beat egg and mix in milk.
- Transfer milk mixture to flour and mix until just combined.
- Transfer dough to a well-floured surface, bring together and flatten.
- Fold dough over itself like you’re folding a letter to go into an envelope.
Flatten and repeat 5 times, alternating between folding vertically and
horizontally to maintain a square shape.
- Cut down the middle vertically and horizontally so you have 4 equal squares,
then cut each square diagonally so you have 8 triangles.
- Bake at 425°F until golden brown (about 10 minutes).
